What is Ivy leaf?
Ivy Leaf is all about learning through music. We create music-based educational enrichment products and programs for schools, teachers, home-schoolers and families. These serve to supplement existing curricula with new, innovative resources including songbooks, music e-books, video and more.

Using music as a language to communicate valuable lessons and themes, our core mission is to support academic development while cultivating intellectual, emotional, social & personal growth. Music literacy, comprehension and appreciation will also be facilitated to that end.

With this goal of integrated, holistic education and growth, subjects including science, math, social studies and the humanities are explored through music. Topics include Multiculturalism, American History, Chemistry, Philosophy, Literature, Current Events/Social awareness and more!

WHO WE ARE:
Carolyn Downie, B.F.A, Dip. S.H, founder, is a composer, songwriter & educator. She has a degree in Music Composition and studied at Berklee College of Music, New England Conservatory of Music and California Institute of the Arts. Also holding certificates in Sound Healing and Integrative Mental Health, she creates music for applications in education, healthcare & cultural enrichment.

Janine Ayres, contributing musician, songwriter & visual artist, began playing piano at the age of 9 years old, then went on to learn bass and guitar. She's performed and toured in over twenty bands, recently with members of 10,000 Maniacs. She also has her own record label, "Music 2 Educate" with four albums available to help kids learn a little easier while singing along.
